Baloch Organizations Call on Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for Reinvestigation into the Mysterious Murder of Baloch Activist Karima Baloch

[Geneva 5th Oct. 2023) – Baloch Voice Association, Baloch Peoples Congress, and Voice for Baloch Missing Persons have jointly submitted a letter to the Canadian Mission in Geneva, urging the Canadian Prime Minister, Honourable Justin Trudeau, to take immediate steps for the reinvestigation of the mysterious murder of Baloch activist Karima Baloch. The organizations are seeking justice for the late activist and insist on bringing the perpetrators to court.

Karima Baloch, a prominent Baloch activist and former Chairperson of the Baloch Students Organization (BSO-Azad), was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Toronto, Canada, in December 2020. Her death raised significant concerns within the Baloch community and sparked calls for a thorough and impartial investigation.

In the joint letter, the Baloch organizations commend the Canadian government for its commitment to human rights and justice. They express their trust in the Canadian legal system and call for a transparent and thorough reinvestigation into the circumstances surrounding Karima Baloch’s death.

The Baloch organizations emphasize the importance of bringing those responsible for Karima Baloch’s death to justice, highlighting the significance of accountability in upholding the principles of justice and human rights.
