[Geneva, March 12, 2024] – The esteemed Prime Minister of the Government of Balochistan in Exile, Her Excellency Prof. Naela Quadri, hosted a networking dinner in Geneva, Switzerland, bringing together prominent figures in the global human rights and political advocacy spheres. The event served as a platform for discussing the pressing need for accountability for human rights abuses in Pakistan and promoting solidarity among oppressed peoples of the region.

Distinguished guests at the networking dinner included Dr. Naseer Dashti, a leading Baloch Senior Human Rights Defender and Chairperson; Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri, Senior Politician and Chairman of UKPNP (United Kashmir People’s National Party); and Fazal Ur Rehman Afridi, Leader of the Pashtoon Tahafuz Movement and Executive Director of the Khyber Institute. Each speaker emphasized the importance of coordination among oppressed communities to compel the United Nations to take concrete actions towards holding Pakistan accountable for its violations.

“Tonight, we stand united in our call for justice and accountability,” remarked Dr. Naseer Dashti. “It is imperative that we work together to ensure that the voices of the oppressed are heard on the international stage.”

Echoing this sentiment, Sardar Shaukat Ali Kashmiri emphasized the need for solidarity among all oppressed peoples: “Our struggles may differ, but our goals are the same – freedom, justice, and dignity for our communities.”

The networking dinner also saw expressions of solidarity from international human rights defenders, including Dr. Joseph, Senior Human Rights Defender and President of the NGO Centre for Human Rights and Peace Advocacy, and Shun Fujiki, a Japanese Human Rights Defender. Both pledged their support for the Baloch cause and the broader aspirations of oppressed nations in the region.
